PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Dr. Krista McMorran-Maus is a Continuing Professional Development Provider approved by the California Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Krista offers professional development to speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and educators at OC SLP.

A certificate of completion can be given to show proof of the number of professional development hours (PDHs) earned for participating in a presentation/activity. Although these presentations are considered non-ASHA CEU activities, the PDHs earned may be applied toward the number of PDHs required for SLPs to maintain their ASHA certification.

      • Access to sound for infants/toddlers/young children with hearing loss

      • Factors that influence performance

      • Early family-centered intervention

      • Facilitative language techniques

      • AuSpLan (Auditory Speech and Language)

      • Auditory-Oral Therapy

    • A 1-hour presentation during which you will learn about:

      • Hearing loss

      • Hearing aid and cochlear implant checks

      • Accommodations
